Same engine. Fewer counters.
Teable puts a real Postgres database under the grid, and so do we — that argument is a draw, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. The difference is everything stacked on top of it: records per space, automation runs, and ten API requests a second — the same ten on every plan they sell.
How to read this page
We made this page, so read it that way. Every Teable price and limit on it is from their own pricing page, read on 2 August 2026 — and there is no speed comparison anywhere on it, because we haven’t measured theirs.
Ten requests a second. On every plan.
Most limits at least improve when you pay. This one doesn’t: Teable’s own table puts the API at 10 requests per second on Free, on Pro, and on Business. Twenty dollars a seat buys more records and more storage, and the same API.

The two numbers land in the same place at a steady trickle — the difference is what happens to a burst. An import, a nightly sync, a backfill: work that arrives all at once is exactly what a per-second ceiling is shaped to refuse.
A thousand records, to start.
Teable’s free space holds a thousand records — enough to try it, not enough to keep anything. Pro holds two hundred and fifty thousand. Automation runs are counted separately, and so are credits.

Teable’s yearly rate against ours. Ours stops climbing at twenty-five editors — editor twenty-six onward is free, not capped.
The million-record tier costs $500 a month at twenty-five people. Ours is $184, and doesn’t count records.
Teable’s published yearly rates ($10 and $20 per seat per month; $12 and $24 billed monthly), multiplied by the editor count. Tabla’s annual schedule: first editor free, then $6 for editors 2–10, $8 for 11–20, $10 for 21–25, nothing after. Viewers are free here at any number; Teable’s page prices per seat and doesn’t say how viewers are counted, so this table assumes everyone listed is billable on both sides.
Self-hosting — by design. Teable ships an edition you run yourself; we’re hosted only, on purpose. If an air gap is a hard requirement, that’s a real difference and we’d rather say so than dress it up.
AI inside the product is a bet they’ve made further than we have — also by design, for now. And we ship no automation engine at all: webhooks fire, signed and replayable, into Make or n8n or your own code, because those tools are better at it than a database should try to be.

Ours imports CSV and Excel, and Airtable directly. An honest note: a big Teable space is a CSV per table, not one click — a rougher on-ramp than we’d like, and one we may build down.

The day you want to leave us, the whole database comes out in one zip: every table, every record, every attachment, with a manifest. One click, no waiting for an email. Free, always.
The door swings both ways. It’s the only honest way to ask you to walk through it.
